MySpace Hottie of the day - Miki Black

Today, let's meet Miki Black, a fashion and glamour model, graphic artist, and rock musician born in Virgina, raised in Springfield, Illinois, but now living in Seal Beach, California. This hottie of Caucasian and Japanese ancestry was the child of a US Army Special Forces soldier, and she spent part of her childhood traveling around the world, even living in Saudi Arabia for a time before moving back to Springfield for her high school years. She admitted to being a very rebellious problem child during her teen years, and she said that the one activity which saved her from a path of destruction was art and music. She was quite talented in her art classes, and after graduating from high school, she pursued the field of Graphic Design in college. She received a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree in Commercial Art/Computer Design from Millikin University, a small private liberal arts college in Illinois, and after her college graduation, she worked as a graphic designer for a few years.

However, after a few years of working in the Midwest, she got restless and decided to move to southern California to pursue other opportunities. One of those opportunities was modeling, where she landed gigs as an Asian glamour model for various calendars, and she eventually landed several jobs as a promotional model for various clothing, swimwear and lingerie companies, including Trashy Lingerie and Liz Claiborne. She also landed photo spreads in Open Your Eyes, Playboy, and FHM magazines.

However, she really wanted to pursue her other true love, which was music. During her childhood, she loved listening to Billy Joel and learned how to play the piano and oboe. However, during her teen years, she became a metalhead and became a huge fan of Ozzy Osbourne, Led Zeppelin, Pink Floyd, Iron Maiden, Metallica, and in particular the legendary guitarist Randy Rhoads. This inspired her to learn how to play the electric guitar, and she even became quite proficient at playing metal guitar solos. She also became interested in playing classical guitar as well, and her musical proficiency even earned her a music scholarship to Southern Methodist University. However, she decided to pursue her art degree instead. Nevertheless, she never abandoned her love of music, and upon moving to California, she joined an indie rock band called Anyone, where she played guitar and keyboards. While she loved playing in a rock band, her busy modeling schedule made it difficult to juggle both music and modeling, so she left the band in 2006. She says that she would like to get back into music someday, but she is busy working for her second "family", Trashy Lingerie.
